PETROTERMINAL DE PANAMÁ, S.A. contributes to strengthening pediatric care in the western region of the country

In line with its social investment approach in the western region, Petroterminal de Panamá, S.A. made a contribution of B/.5,000.00 to the Teletón 20-30 2026 goal project, an initiative aimed at expanding, renovating, and equipping the Burn Unit at the José Domingo de Obaldía Maternal and Children’s Hospital.

This project seeks to improve the quality of medical care for children with burn injuries by strengthening hospital infrastructure and access to specialized equipment.

Supporting the first regional Teletón 20-30 event of the year, whose objective is to benefit the José Domingo de Obaldía Maternal and Children’s Hospital, represents a direct contribution to enhancing the healthcare system’s capacity to respond to highly complex cases, particularly among vulnerable populations such as children.

This hospital center not only serves patients from the province of Chiriquí but also receives cases from other provinces across the country, significantly expanding its impact on pediatric care at the regional level. In addition, it treats approximately 30% of burn cases involving children under 14 years of age nationwide, highlighting the importance of this type of intervention for the healthcare system.

Through this contribution, Petroterminal de Panamá, S.A. directs its efforts toward initiatives that have a direct impact on the health and quality of life of children and their families, prioritizing actions that strengthen medical care, expand access to specialized services, and generate a tangible impact on community well-being.
