DONATION OF ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES TO SCHOOLS’ KITCHENS IN CHIRIQUÍ GRANDE

As part of its commitment to Panamanian youth, Petroterminal de Panamá, S.A. delivered household appliances to three schools in the Chiriquí Grande District in Bocas del Toro.

The pandemic has had significant economic and social repercussions. The education sector has been particularly affected: many students are returning to classes at different educational levels due to the country’s situation.

These schools’ canteens help to feed the youngin the community during the school day so that they can do their best in the classroom. These new appliances represent an improvement to the facilities that positively impacts the students who resume the school day. These facilities guarantee stability for the young, which is imperative for their well-being and development.

The donation consisted of three (3) 4-burner semi-industrial stoves and three (3) 12 cft refrigerators valued at B/.5,303.47 in total. These appliances were distributed in the schools of Los Chiricanos, Chiriquicito #2 and Quebrada Garza, benefiting approximately 247 students. “Education is vital for the progress of the country and the future of young people. With this donation, we promote the development of the children by ensuring that the schools they attend have what they need to prepare nutritious meals,” commented Ana Álvarez, Human Resources Manager. “We will continue to support institutions in our communities.
