The Atlantic Oil Terminal is designed to store and transship crude oil and other petroleum products in an environmentally sensitive and efficient manner.
The facilities are located on the Atlantic coast of the Republic of Panama in the province of Bocas del Toro. The terminal is located on a large enclosed body of water -- the "Laguna de Chiriquí", just west of the Chiriquí Grande village at 8º56'N longitude and 82º07'W latitude. Ships enter the protected waters through a wide natural channel.

The General Cargo Port consists of a general cargo terminal located at the Chiriqui Grande Lagoon, in the province of Bocas del Toro, on the Atlantic Coast of the Republic of Panama at latitude 8° 56' N, longitude 82° 07' W.
The port has a single finger pier 600 feet long by 80 feet wide, with a concrete deck capable of handling breakbulk, palletized. or containerized cargo. Ships up to 36 feet draft can be berthed. At present, all ships are berthed on the South side of the pier. The pier is partially roofed - 12,000 sf are covered.
At present, a container yard of 8 hectares (20 acres) has been developed and equipped with 350 electric plugs for refrigerated containers. A further 3 hectare area is developed for storage of loose cargo. Extensive additional property is available for development.

The Pacific Oil Terminal consist of two loading and unloading docks designed to handle crude oil and other petroleum products. Other operations than can be carried out are blending, transshipment and/or transportation of products across the Isthmus from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast via a pipeline.
The terminal is located on the Pacific coast of the Republic of Panama, on the west side of the Charco Azul Bay and on the east side of the Burica Peninsula, approximately, 3.5 miles south of the town of Puerto Armuelles, province of Chiriqui, at 8°12.5'N latitude and 82°53'W longitude.

The Transisthmian Oil Pipeline starts at the Pacific Oil Terminal at Charco Azul, near Puerto Armuelles in the province of Chiriqui. This location is in the southwestern-most region of the Republic of Panama. The pipeline route extends 131 kilometers (81 miles) in a northeasterly direction and ends at the Atlantic Oil Terminal at Chiriqui Grande in the province of Bocas del Toro.
